Everybody has something that they are good at. Many students begin to doubt themselves because they do not want to doctors or lawyers. That’s okay though, you can be what you want to be. However, there are some students who do want to be doctors or lawyers and yes, that’s okay too! Then there are the students that are stuck in limbo, unable to decide what they want to be in life. All of these students are going to be just fine. It takes time to discover your passions and what you believe in. I am going to go over a couple of different careers that cover all three of the student types that I mentioned above. Keep an open mind!
For those students who love business combined with fashion, the fashion merchandising industry might be a good choice for you. Becoming a fashion merchandiser allows you to use your creativity to market fashions at stores and for different wholesalers. It is simply the art of studying fashion and coming up with ideas that will attract new buyers. While fashion is the most important interest you should have another one is marketing. A keen sense on how to market a line of clothing combined with a keen sense in fashion will make you a top star in this industry.
A job in the fashion industry may be hard to come by depending on where you are located, but with a good education this will definitely give you a better chance of obtaining the career of your dreams. There are multiple options such as a diploma, an Associate’s Degree, and a Bachelor’s degree, depending on the level you want to come in at. At Sanford-Brown College located in Seattle, WA, you can obtain a four year Bachelor’s Degree in fashion merchandising. If you are not seeking a Bachelor’s Degree, Berkeley College offers both Associate’s Degrees as well as Bachelor’s degrees.
It is quite possible you want to go the doctor route. You could always study optometry. An optometrist is a doctor who studies eyes and different conditions of the eye. This is a rewarding field to get into because it allows you to help people see more clearly. It is a competitive marketing out there for eye doctors so finding the right college to attend is the best thing you can do to better your chances. Ohio State University, Indiana University and the University of Houston are all great choices when choosing a school of optometry.
No matter what your interests are you can find a subject that you are good at. We all come from different backgrounds and are unique in our own ways. It is okay to dare to be different and do what we are passionate about.
